Florida Officials Pluck Naked Man From Alligator's Jaws

fter hearing screams coming from central Florida's Lake Parker, authorities arrived on the site to witness a scene straight out of a horror movie: a man caught in the jaws of an alligator.

Four Florida sheriff's deputies managed to wade through the dark, muddy water and pry 45-year-old Adrian Apgar from the alligator's grasp. The man, who was naked when police arrived on the scene, suffered a broken right arm and major injuries to his left leg, but is lucky to be alive.

Biology Teacher Charged With Disturbing Peace Of Corpse

A high school biology and earth science teacher has been charged with felony for allegedly creeping into a cemetery vault with two teenage students and taking photos of them handling corpse's bones. Candace Longworth will face a 10 years in prison if convicted.

Authorities have charged Longworth with a charge of disturbing and defiling a dead person from a place of burial and two misdemeanor counts of contributing to the delinquency of a minor. The teenagers have been charged as "juveniles."

Driver Gives Puppy Crack Cocaine To Evade Police Checkpoint

A driver, panicked to be stopped at a police DUI checkpoint, fed a puppy his crack cocaine.

However, police got wise to the situation, and according to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, Dr. Steven Smolen, a veterinarian at the Veterinary Emergency Clinic in Shaler, who was on duty when the puppy was brought in, said the puppy is "doing very well."

Thieves Swiping ATMs From NY Stores

New York police have come across nearly a dozen reports of thieves swiping cash machines from drugstores and mom-and-pop shops in Suffolk County. The most recent being on Friday when the crooks smashed the front window of Dario Rodriguez's deli in Holtsville, withdrew the automated teller machine and fled.

"They break in, take the whole machine and are gone by the time the cops get here," he told the Newsday.

Ex-Boxer Gets Life Term Over "Murder Punch"

A former boxing champion in Britain was slammed a life sentence on Friday after killing a man with a punch, at a party organized last October. The assailant, Garry Delaney, 35, will serve at least 11 years in prison after prosecutors found him guilty.

Delaney's victim was 23-year-old Paul Price. According to court testimony Price was lifted off the ground by the punch and fatally hit is head on the ground when he fell.
