One of Italy's most popular Catholic magazines will apologize to its readers for carrying an ad that shows a woman's naked bottom, the magazine says Tuesday.

Controversy erupted when Famiglia Cristiana, whose title means "Christian Family," showed nudity for the first time in its pages.

The main concern reportedly involves a local nudist colony's recent staging of plays at the Topeka Performing Arts Center promoting clothing-free lifestyles.

Daytona Beach city's ordinance allows an exemption to its anti-nudity law as long as the nudity is part of a political protest or other constitutionally protected issue. The judge also threw out her arrest and $253 fine.
