A 68-year-old man from Pennsylvania says he is quite lucky after he survived his second lightning strike on Friday, nearly 27 years after lighting first struck him.

Don Frick and his six other people were attending Hamlin's Ole Tyme Daz festival on Friday afternoon when the incident took place. After a sudden storm, all of them decide to take shelter in a shed shortly before lightning struck the ground nearby.

Filipino Fisherman Lost In Palau For Two Months Returns Home

A Filipino fisherman who was lost at sea for 10 days, lived alone in an uninhabited island for three days, lived with inhabitants of another island for a month before being brought to Koror in Palau, was finally repatriated to the Philippines after a two month absence.

The Philippine News Agency reported that Jonathan Tawameo, from the southern city of General Santos, went to fish alone on May 17. He left aboard a smaller boat, and when he went back to join a fishing fleet, it had already left.

Kitten Rescued From West Virginia Storm Drain Thanks To First Responders

A 2-pound kitten was finally rescued from a storm drain in West Virginia, with the help of two fire trucks, five firefighters, several animal rescuers and about 250 gallons of water.

Firefighters tried coaxing it out with food and encouraging words. They also tried flashing lights and banging tools on the pipe to scare the kitten out, reported CNN.

Blind Adventurer Bids For World Record After Flying From London To Sydney

Chasing his "amazing dream," 58-year-old Miles Hilton-Barber has set a world record as the first blind person to fly halfway across the world. Hilton-Barber, who lost his eyesight about 20 years ago, had voice-output technology installed on all the navigational devices on his microlight aircraft so he could complete the 13,500-mile flight from London to Sydney.

Hilton-Barber, accompanied by his sighted co-pilot Storm Smith, took off in the two-seater microlight aircraft from Biggin Hill air base in south London on March 7.
