Panicked local residents at Barangay (village) Lower Manongol in Kidapawan City, southern Philippines say that a ghoul, which takes a human form by day but turns into a blood-sucking and flesh-eating monster as darkness falls, was responsible for the killing of three goats who were seen without its inner organs, including hearts and livers.

Philippine Lawmaker Proposed Locking Up Congress To Maintain Quorum

A lawmaker in central Philippines on Wednesday has proposed to lock up the doors of the Congress session hall after the roll call to prevent lawmakers from "escaping" and ensure the passage of key legislations.

Pedro Romualdo, a lawmaker from Camiguin in central Philippines said in a statement, "We close the door after roll call, lock it, so nobody will get out." He made the proposal because of the rampant practice of some Filipino lawmakers to leave the session hall 30 minutes after the roll call.

Philippine Lawyer Files Swindling Charges Against Pope, Archbishop

A Philippine lawyer filed a complaint before the Manila prosecutor's office on Tuesday accusing Pope Benedict XVI and an archbishop of swindling, teaching immoral doctrines and public disorder.

According to lawyer Elly Lao Pamatong, as quoted on GMANews.tv, the Pope "has been defrauding billions of innocent members of the human race by telling mythical and deceitful stories" that "have proximately caused the herein complainant and billions of other victims to turn over one-tenth of their incomes" to the Pope, Archbishop Gaudencio Cardinal Rosales "and their accomplices."

Gay Patient To Sue Hospital, Medical Team Over 'YouTube' Video

A gay patient from central Philippines is set to file formal charges against doctors and nurses of a hospital who posted over the Internet video-sharing site YouTube, a video of a medical procedure where doctors removed a perfume canister from his rectum.

Worst, the video also showed the doctors and nurses, "cheering and shouting with excitement" as the canister was removed, which further ridiculed and embarrassed the victim, who remains unidentified.
