Bathroom Supply Manufacturer Looking for "America's Best Restroom"
You might call it the Toilet Bowl. It's an online poll to find the country's best toilets. Sponsored by Cincinnati-based Cintas Corp., manufacturer of Sanis restroom supplies, the America's Best Restroom contest was started in 2001 to spotlight businesses that maintain "exceptional hygiene, with style" in their potties. Nominations can be made by anyone, and about 30 are received annually.
"Black Widow" Wins World Grilled Cheese Eating Championship
The World Grilled Cheese Eating Championship crowned its winner Wednesday, a 100-pound woman who ate 26 grilled cheese sandwiches in 10 minutes. Sonya Thomas won $8,000 for the contest at the Planet Hollywood restaurant in Times Square, saying, "I could have done better." She was aiming for 30 sandwiches.
GA Man Drives Through Casino
A Georgia man brought his own doughnuts to a lobby and ended up with an assault charge. The man drove his car through the lobby of Tunica's Gold Strike Casino and did doughnuts with his car.
Coupon Misprint Costs Casino Millions
A misprint has gamblers in an uproar, while an Illinois casino may have to give a multi-million dollar hand-out. Harrah's Joliet Casino is paying dearly for a misprint on about 11,000 coupons mailed to customers last week.
Woman Finds Rock-n-Roll Treasure in Debris
The old adage must be true: One man's trash is another man's treasure. A Biloxi waitress found a vintage guitar that appears to have Johnny Cash's autograph on it outside the Waffle House where she used to work.
