The Food and Drug Administration has approved a drug made by Pfizer to aid the weight management of obese dogs.

Pfizer will release the liquid formula Slentrol for around 5 percent of U.S. dogs that are 20 percent beyond the ideal weight.

Michael Warren, 20, dropped 125 pounds in 18 months to advance in a career in law enforcement. The Wintersville resident used to weigh in at more than 300 pounds.

Warren was made a deputy sheriff in Ohio County last Monday, two days after his marriage to his high school sweetheart.

An Australian wildlife worker was called to pull a 7-foot python out of a septic tank, after a plumber found it hiding in a woman's toilet.

Peter Phillips, a wildlife officer for the Northern Territory Parks and Wildlife Service, said in a statement released by the Northern Territory government, "The ... resident originally called a plumber because her toilet was blocked. I arrived to see a large python head peering out of the toilet bowl."
