Aussie Twin Boys Share Birthday But Not Size
Lincoln Ryman and his brother Byron may be the same age, but they are definitely not the same size. Twins Lincoln and Byron were born in Sydney on May 15 just minutes apart. However, Byron weighed in at 3.39 pounds (1.54 kilograms), while Lincoln was a tiny 1.17 pounds (530 grams).
Uncle And Nephew Born Seven Minutes Apart
Carrie Gresh, 21, is doubly happy for she is celebrating the birth of her brother as well as her own son. Moreover, the uncle-nephew pair were born just few minutes apart from each other at the same hospital and were delivered by the same doctor. Gresh and her mother Theresa Crouse, 39, who reside in the same duplex, came to know of their pregnancy together and on Monday, they even gave birth to their boys almost together.
Chinese Woman Fakes Pregnancy To Please Husband
A Chinese woman admits to faking her pregnancy with quintuplets in order to please her husband after miscarrying her own twins. The woman, Qiao Yubo, 23, received star status for her unusual pregnancy in China. But was soon exposed after she ran away from a doctor who wanted to check up on her. The doctor who wanted to perform the check up on the supposedly then heavily pregnant woman, Mr. Li, president of Changchun Puji Hospital, says, "The pregnant mom jumped from a window and ran away."
Boston Woman Sues Doctors For Child Rearing Costs After Failed Abortion
A woman has sued a hospital and two doctors after giving birth to a baby girl despite having an abortion. In the lawsuit filed in Suffolk Superior Court, Jennifer Raper, 45, claims that the physicians failed to end her pregnancy and now were responsible for the financial burden of raising her daughter. Raper decided to have an abortion when she found out she was pregnant in March 2004. Therefore, on April 9, 2004 she went to Planned Parenthood, where Dr. Allison Bryant performed the procedure on her, but it "was not done properly, causing the plaintiff to remain pregnant," said the complaint, according to the Boston Globe.
Obese Woman's Pregnancy Goes Unnoticed For Nine Months
An overtly obese woman from California who went to the hospital complaining about a stomachache got the shock of her life when doctors said she was full term pregnant. Only 48 hours later, April Barnum delivered a healthy baby boy. The Orange County Register reported that doctors saw the fetus on an X-ray and sent Barnum to the University of California-Irvine Medical Center. The fetus's lungs were fully developed, the heartbeat was strong and no defects were detected. Two days later, Walter Scott Edwards III was delivered by Caesarian section. He weighed 7-pounds 7-ounces.
