At least two soccer fans were injured in Berlin after kicking soccer balls that were secretly filled with concrete. According to press reports, at least six soccer balls were found chained to trees, lampposts and handrails. Next to each concrete filled soccer ball, was a spray-painted message, "Can you kick it?"

House On Fire Doesn't Bother Soccer Fan
A Chinese soccer fan refused to let the small matter of his house catching fire disturb his enjoyment of Tuesday's World Cup match between France and Spain. A fire broke out in a hutong (narrow alley) in the centre of the Chinese capital at three in the morning local time on June 29 - kickoff time in Hanover - and gutted the traditional courtyard dwelling, the Beijing Daily Messenger reported.

Reports indicate that breweries are concerned they might not be able to meet the demand for beer by the time of the final game of the tournament.
