Philippine Lawmakers Want Motorcycles Banned On Main Roads, Highways
Motorcycles could be banned on many Philippines roads. Despite being the most common means of transportation in the Philippines, lawmakers have filed a bill seeking to ban motorcycles on main roads, thoroughfares and national highways in the country. House Bill No. 3080 filed by Reps. Narciso D. Santiago III (Party-list, ARC) and Marcelino R. Teodoro (1st Dist., Marikina City, Lakas-CMD) establishes guidelines designed to prevent road accidents, particularly those involving motorcycles.
Philippines Seize Sex Dolls To Be Used By Rights Group For Protest
The Philippines Bureau of Customs officials have seized several inflatable sex dolls to be used in an international campaign against animal cruelty, an animal rights group claimed Thursday. According to the People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals or PETA, they planned to use the sex toys to protest against a major U.S. fast food chain who allegedly abuse chickens.
"Santa" Marries Colorado Couple On Christmas
A couple was united on Christmas day by a minister dressed in a Santa outfit. The nuptials were that of Dave Hauck Jr. and Cathy Spencer, who met during a company Christmas party, and got engaged while visiting Santa at the local mall. The couple was dressed in red, and the ceremonies were held at the second-floor art studio/chapel located at the home of the minister Gary Michael, who that day was dressed as Santa while uniting the couple.

Philippine TV Ratings Row Escalates As Network Sues Rival Channel
The courtroom battle between the top two Filipino TV networks escalated on Thursday as one channel obtained a judge's order stopping a media research firm from surveying viewers and another channel suing the other for libel. A court in Quezon City ordered AGB Nielsen Media Research Philippines, Inc. to stop gathering and releasing data on nationwide TV ratings for 20 days. ABS-CBN Broadcasting Corp. sought the order in a suit filed against AGB Nielsen last week.
