Dallas, TX (AHN)-At least 18 employees of a Dallas high school, including three teachers, reportedly became ill after consuming muffins suspected of being laced with a drug.

According to the Dallas Morning News, the sickened staffers were treated at a local hospital after complaining of dizziness, nausea and increased heart rate. However, no students were affected.

Authorities suspect the muffins in the teachers' lounge were laced with a street or over-the-counter drug, after two boxes of muffins were delivered by a man who apparently said the sweets were part of an Eagle Scout project.

The FBI is assisting Dallas authorities investigating the incident.

One local hospital official says, "We can't discuss what might have affected those people because of privacy laws, but it wasn't food poisoning."
