A teacher at the Adwick Washington school in Adlington, South Yorks, is in hot water after a fuming parent complained that she photocopied the face of their five-year-old child during a class experiment.

It was reported that the unidentified teacher were undertaking a "light and dark" experiment with her students and allowed other children to photocopy their hands.

But for unknown reason, the teacher allowed five-year-old Luke Wilson to have his face photocopied, which caused the boy some eye problems and had to see a hospital specialist.

School governors initiated an inquiry into the incident after the boy's parents sought police assistance. The school board has decided not to take any actions while investigation is ongoing.

Jane and Tony, the boy's parents, have already transferred their son to another school and threatened to file legal action against the school and the teacher.

Store detective Tony, 29, branded the teacher "irresponsible." He said, "It was a stupid thing to do by someone in charge of children."

Worst, the picture of Luke was hung up in the classroom of the school.

The parents told the police they learned of the incident after their son complained of seeing spots before his eyes, which were red and itching, and suffered headaches. When confronted, the boy reportedly told them, "I had my face photocopied by a machine."

They took him to hospital where he was diagnosed as suffering from allergic conjunctivitis which can be caused by being exposed to strong light.

Adwick Washington chair of governors Margaret Houghton said,"We are aware of the complaint and the matter is being investigated."
