A panel has reinstated a high school teacher who was fired for looking at porn on a school computer.

An arbitration panel says science teacher Robert Zellner, will return to Cedarburg High School, over the school board's objections.

School Board President John Pendergast says a precedent set by another teacher, who viewed stock quotes, led to the decision. That teacher was only reprimanded for his surfing.

Pendergast says that despite the fact that they "vehemently disagree" they will "work towards" bringing Zellner back onto the staff.

According to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, the School Board fired Zellner Jan. 17 after determining that he viewed pornography on a school computer for one minute and six seconds on Nov. 6, a Sunday. The school district later determined that Zellner had viewed pornographic Web sites from his school computer at least seven times since 2003 and had 1,500 pornographic images on the computer's hard drive.
