An Oregon mother looking for a jacket on the online auction site, eBay, found one that looked exactly like the one her daughter lost at school. Why? It was the same jacket. In January, the mother of a third grade student in Hillsboro, Oregon visited her daughter's school more than once to try and find a missing Columbia Sportswear jacket.

A middle school music teacher has been reassigned to an adult education program by Johnson City school administrators after it was found that he asked nearly two female students to pose for a photograph in a mermaid costume. Les Leonard, who was a music teacher since last 17 years with the school, agreed to get transfer from Johnson City's Indian Trail Middle School to a vacant position in adult education. His new job includes testing coordination and also teaching some adult education.

A 77-year-old father and grandfather in Concord, New Hampshire is being inundated with calls from people who think he is Brad Pitt. Retired teacher Richard Perkins, father of three and grandfather of three, doesn't have a clue how his phone number was posted on the Web Site Students of the World as Brad Pitt's number. The Web site belongs to six French teenagers who share numbers of their favorite celebrities.

An apparently upper-caste principal of a primary school in the Bhandara district of Maharshtra, India had a new way to "purify" the school premises and children from a previously employed lower-caste teacher. The principal sprinkled cow's urine in the school premises and on students to "purify" them from lower-caste teacher's "evil spirit. " A startling reminder that caste consciousness is still prevalent in India after more than 50 years of independence.
