A thief dressed in a woman's wig and makeup snatched a 71-year-old grandmother's purse in a Titusville mall, police said.

According to a report by the Associated Press, Dotty Stella, was celebrating her birthday at a restaurant when she was robbed Monday.

She said she noticed something funny about the woman.

"Ain't no woman I know is shaped like that from behind," Stella told Florida Today. "And I was right. It wasn't a she. It was a he."

Stella was finishing a soda at a hot dog restaurant, when she said the man dressed as a woman came from nowhere and grabbed her purse.

A 16-year-old old boy has been charged with robbery, Titusville police Cmdr. Todd Hutchinson said. The teen's name is not being released because of his age.

Police said they found the thief in a nearby neighborhood, ditching his disguise and hopping on his bicycle. Stella's purse was returned to her.
