Hemet police have arrested an 18-year-old girl accused of beating and disfiguring a 17-year-old girl's face with a pair of brass knuckles over a dispute with a boy.

Lynsie Elizabeth Caldwell was booked Tuesday on charges of assault with a deadly weapon, possession of a dangerous weapon, infliction of great bodily injury, mayhem and torture. Her bail was set at $525,000 and the arraignment will be on Thursday at the Murrieta courthouse.

Hemet police Lt. Jeff Pinney said the attack took place at a party on Aug. 31.

"These two had a dispute for the last several months over a boy. So Caldwell finds the victim at the party, produces the brass knuckles and proceeds to pummel her repeatedly even after she was down," Pinney said, according to the L.A. Times.

The brass knuckles fractured bones in the victim's face and broke her nose. Lacerations put 15 stitches on her face and the disfigurement is permanent.
