A secretary of state's office in the Chicago area is closed for repairs after a teenager prepping to take a driver's test accidentally drives a Chrysler into the building.Police say the 16-year-old girl was trying to park the car when she accidentally stepped on the accelerator instead of the brake, ramming the 1997 Chrysler Sebring into the building.
Dave Drucker, a spokesman for the secretary of state's office, says the car drove through the building's exterior, breaking two glass windows.
Neither the girl nor her father, who was also in the car, was injured.
The office is expected to remain closed for repairs Monday. No citations have been issued.
