A Singapore teen's enthusiastic guitar playing ended tragically when it caused him to fall to his death.

Li Xiao Meng, 16, was mimicking a rock star while bouncing on his bed. He jumped so hard that he flew out of a third floor window, reports Reuters citing The Straits Times.

The Chinese native was a student at Hua Business School. He was a skilled musician and enjoyed practicing his guitar in the room of the hostel where he was living.

A court ruled the fatality" death by misadventure." It said the evidence "points to the deceased unintentionally falling out of the window to his death when he was hyped up with exhilaration, jumping up and down on the bed placed against an open window while mimicking a rock guitarist."

The hostel normally keeps the windows locked, but students sometimes pry them open so they can smoke, The Straits Times reports.
