A northeast Iowa man who submitted a fake obituary to a newspaper was sentenced to jail. James Snyder had been accused with writing the false obituary for his girlfriend's 17-year-old son last December to be excused from work.

According to a report by the Sun-Sentinel, a 17-year-old teenage boy was arrested for the alleged theft of vehicle burglaries in Broward County, Florida, as undercover detectives saw him driving around a gas station that had already reported 10 vehicle burglaries over the last few days. The police found several identification cards of other individuals, jewelry and a couple of PDAs in the car that the teenager was driving, which was also reported as stolen.

A judge with teenage children has used her own experiences to sentence offending drivers to a suitable punishment; riding the bus to school. Porter Superior Judge Julia Jent says teen drivers weren't taking fines seriously until she ordered a young girl to take the bus to school, and she burst into tears outside the courtroom.

A high school football coach has been charged with pimping a 15-year-old girl in Maryland. According to police in Prince George's County, Arron J. Burroughs, a junior varsity assistant football coach at Bowie High School has been charged with first-degree child sexual abuse and denied bail pending a trial.
