South Carolina's health department shuts down the salad bar at a Ruby Tuesday restaurant after a teen finds a mouse on his plate. The state Department of Health and Environmental Control says an initial investigation indicates the restaurant is not to blame for the incident, as it did not find evidence of mice infestation or droppings. Soon-to-be high school senior Edward Viehman, 17, says he saw the mouse on his plate right after taking the first bite.

One summer job is putting some cash in the pockets of helpful teens, and making sure commuters keep cool while they ride the rails. Every summer, Metro-North Railroad hires 25 student interns to serve as "air conditioner inspectors. " Their job is to ride the trains and make sure everything is comfortable for the thousands who take the train each day.

A Utah teen has the fastest fingers in the world. The 18-year-old is the fastest text messenger in the world, able to text a 160-character standarized message in 42. 22 seconds. Ben Cook of Provo, UT, came out on top at a text off. The competition was recorded on video and was scored by an official timekeeper, who validated the time for the Guinness World Record.

A bystander may have saved a cyclist's life when he lifted a car off the trapped teen. Kyle Holtrust, 18, was hit by a car while he biked along a Tucson, Arizona highway. He became pinned underneath the vehicle.

Orlando, FL (AHN)-A 14-year-old who was sucked to the bottom of a hotel hot tub and kept under water for at least seven minutes was likely saved by air his father breathed into his mouth during the ordeal. After a grate at the bottom of the tub apparently broke, Aljuwon Pipkin, who was visiting Walt Disney World from New Jersey, became stuck at the bottom of the hot tub last Thursday at the Radisson Parkway Hotel.
