Three teens broke into Portage High School to "wreak havoc."

Police Capt. Terry Swickard can only say "talk about senseless," as officers arrest Phillip Kress and Douglas Dabill, both 18, on felony burglary charges.

According to the Chicago Post-Tribune, at one point, the teens managed to knock a 2,000-pound piece of construction machinery off a second-floor balcony in the newly constructed field house, letting it fall 16 feet to the floor. The teens dumped liquid ink down a copy machine, Swickard said, knocked computer screens off teachers' desks and damaged two vending machines.

The paper explains, they also dumped a 55-gallon drum of paint, police said, but the paint only landed on tarps that had been laid onto the ground. Kress, Dabill and the juvenile also tried to steal three laptops and 15 computer memory cards, Swickard said.
