Florida Teen's Five Weeks Old Hiccups Finally Halt

After nearly five weeks of continuously troubling her and getting her to national television, the hiccups of a 15-year-old girl from Florida have finally come to an end. Jennifer Mae started hiccupping Jan. 23 close to 50 times a minute and it only stopped when she was sleeping. She tried all possible home remedies including holding her breath, sipping water and breathing in air but all in vain. Mae also went to a specialist, an acupuncturist and a neurologist but none of them could top the poor teenager from hiccupping.

Teen Dials AIDS Help Line, Gets Linked To Sex Line

St. Joseph resident Lori Felzien had to face one of the most embarrassing situations of her life when her sixth-grade son dialed the number printed on a bookmark he received during a health lesson and it connected to a hardcore sex hotline. The teen handed over the phone to his mother saying, "Mom, listen to this. " Felzien then immediately contacted authorities at Bessie Ellison Elementary School who distributed those HIV/AIDS - awareness bookmarks.

Now Electric Shock For Internet Addicts In China

In a treatment that equates Internet addicts to mentally ill people, China is giving electric shocks to people who spend more time on the Internet than required. The Chinese government has launched a nationwide campaign to treat "Internet addiction" and many Internet-addiction clinics have been opened in this regard. A recent survey found that nearly 14 percent of teens in China are vulnerable to becoming addicted to the Internet. The Communist Youth League calls it a "a grave social problem" that threatens the youth of this Asian country.

NYC Teen's Heart Revives After Four Days

The heart of a New York teen made what his doctors are calling a miraculous comeback four days after it stopped beating at a gym. Daniel Walker, 17, has suffered from a rare congenital heart disease that has left his coronary artery pinched, giving him only 10 percent of normal heart capacity. Walker was jogging at his high school gym when his flawed heart gave out on him. After days battling between life and death, doctors decided on a transplant.

Over 6,000 Filipino Couples Lock Lips Breaking World Record For Simultaneous Kissing In Lovapalooza Event

At the stroke of midnight on Feb. 11, 2007 6,214 Filipino couples kissed simultaneously at the giant Mall of Asia along Roxas Boulevard in Pasay City, Philippines. It was to set a new world record, organizers of the event said. Organizers of the annual "Lovapalooza" event, said Saturday's event in the Philippines broke the record held by Hungary in 2005 when 5,875 couples kissed simultaneously.
