In what seems like a scene straight out of a horror movie, a 41-year-old Australian diver miraculously escaped the jaws of a great white shark off the southern coast of Sydney. Eric Nerhus was diving for the shellfish abalone off of Cape Howe when a 10-ft-long great white shark attacked him, crushing through his face mask, and breaking his nose, before Nerhus managed to pry free from the shark's grip.

A beer-drinking camel decided to crash a Christmas party in Ireland by becoming the center of attention of having cracked open six cans of Guinness with his teeth and helping himself to over 200 mince pies. Gus, the 11-year-old camel, must have carefully planned his feast as he was able to sneak out of his stable while staff at his equestrian center were getting changed for their party.

Following public outrage, an Austrian businessman on Thursday announced that he would remove so called "sexist" urinals from a public toilet near Vienna's national opera. The urinals are shaped like a woman's mouth, featuring lipsticked lips, teeth and a bright red tongue. The politicians and members of several women affairs groups denounced the urinals as "misogynistic and offensive. "

A teen who was fishing in Stockport, Manchester caught a deadly piranha. The man-eating fish is normally feared in its natural habitat in South America. Josh Boyle, 14, was at his usual fishing spot when he reeled in the sharp-toothed predator. He then held the fish at arm's length while his friend took a photograph.

A woman who was struck by lightning suffered severe burning to her anus as it entered through her mouth and passed right through her body. Natasha Timarovic, 27, was at home cleaning her teeth when lightning hit the building.
