The home and auto industries are two of the hardest hit sectors in the U. S. Rising foreclosures mark the housing sector, while closing car manufacturing plants are common in the auto plant. The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) may revoke the pilot's license of a 65-year-old navy veteran who landed his plane on the Marriott Lincolnshire Golf Course in Illinois on Saturday. FAA spokeswoman Elizabeth Isham Cory said an investigation into Robert Kadera's weekend stunt is ongoing. Civil penalties for landing an aircraft without clearance could result in revoking the pilot's certification.

" Citizens in China's capital are now practicing how to act and react during the summer games. Some 200 factory workers from Beijing's eastern towns were gathered for a practice cheer session at the national stadium on Monday in the latest lecture on the subject. Factory manager Lu Xiaoping told AFP: "Because of this program, I also think that China's spectators will behave better. "

Bananas reportedly washed up by the thousands on two Dutch North Sea islands Wednesday, as caused by six containers that fell from a cargo ship caught in a storm. The bananas were said to have come in ten crates, from the ship Duncan Island.

For the first time it's not tennis star Serena Williams' clothes that have made news. This time it's a pit bull registered in her name that allegedly bit a security guard's buttocks outside her home in Palm Beach Gardens. However, the wallet in the guards pocket saved him from any serious dog-bite injuries last week, according to a Palm Beach Gardens police report of the incident.
