A Texas mother, who posted a page on MySpace saying "I want my son back", is currently in jail after hiring kidnappers to steal her own son who was staying with his father.

According to police, Lisa Gonzales used MySpace.com to find kidnappers willing to take the boy from his father and she allegedly offered $500 to anyone who would do the job well.

Local newspapers say that the two year old boy lives with his father, Vernando Morales. The couple, who have two sons together, got divorced when Gonzales was jailed for some other reason.

The court then allowed both mother and father to keep one son each but Gonzales wanted to have custody of both her sons and thus set up the kidnapping plan on MySpace. She then arranged to meet with two kidnappers, who went to Morales' house armed with a baseball bat and seized the child by force.

However, police traced the boy back in a few hours and arrested the mother and another relative. The kidnapped boy has been reunited with his father.
