Billing itself as a place with good songs, cold beer, good friends and tall tales, this historic town has put itself up for sale.

Located in hill country, settled in 1877 and named after Albert Luckenbach who moved there in 1892 and opened a post office and general store under his first name, the town is up for sale.

It first went on the market in 2007 with an asking price of $2.5 million, then drew worldwide attention when it received a $3.8 million bid on eBay in November 2007 that later turned out to be a hoaz. Now its price has fallen, as prices for houses have, and it has an asking price of $883,000.

For that, the buyer will get a 13-acre town that include an 85-year-old dance hall, an operating ice house and beer garden and a three-bedroom house. Not included is the adjacent 1900 schoolhouse that President Lyndon Johnson attended as a child.

According to its Web site, the town is located in Texas wine country and there is an all-season creek running through the property.
