Texas Girl With Only Half Of Brain Returns Home For Good

A six-year-old Texas girl whose brain had been partly removed through surgery to save her life from a rare neurological disease returned home for good Thursday. Jessie Hall walked out of Cook's Children's Medical Center, where she had been undergoing therapy after her operation at the Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland in June. She will continue her therapy at her family's house in Aledo.

Texas Plane Crash Survivors Call Taxi To Take Them To Hospital

Passengers in a small small plane sustained minor injuries after the crashing in someone's front yard shortly after taking off. Then, the family of three called a taxi to take them to the hospital. The pilot, Paul Kaemmerling, his wife Kim and their 14-year-old daughter from Liberty, Texas were all on board the plane when it either lost power or hadn't gained enough altitude, investigators told a local NBC affiliate.

Police are looking for an accused murderer who escaped from The Waller County Jail in Texas during the early morning hours on Saturday. Darryl Layne Norris, 26, was jailed in April with an accomplice, both charged with a death in connection with a convenience store robbery.

Police who initially thought Thomas Hickman, 55, was murdered in New Mexico, after he was found duct taped and shot in the back of head. But now police say the Red Lobster executive re-enacted an episode of CBS's show "CSI" in which a man tied helium balloons to the gun he used to kill himself with so that the gun would float away, leading crime scene investigators to believe a murder was committed.
