The Elephant race held in Nepal on Tuesday to give a lot of enjoyment to the tourists, who are traveling to Nepal to witness one of the country's proudest wildlife attractions. A total of 11 Nepalese teams were joined by nine international competitors for the showdown that pits the best of the elephant racing elite against each other, the Sahara Samay, a news portal, reported on the day.

The Philippines Bureau of Customs officials have seized several inflatable sex dolls to be used in an international campaign against animal cruelty, an animal rights group claimed Thursday. According to the People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals or PETA, they planned to use the sex toys to protest against a major U. S. fast food chain who allegedly abuse chickens.

After seeing their king leaving a hospital last month in a pink shirt and blazer, Thais are rushing in to stores to get their own pink apparel in what appears to be the latest fashion craze in Thailand. According to Phufa fashion chain, they have sold more than 40,000 pink shirts last month alone.

Thailand's legislature on Wednesday passed a traffic law that bans the use of cell phones without hands-free devices while driving. The Bangkok Post said the new law will take effect 90 days after publication in the Royal Gazette. The 90-day grace period will allow traffic enforcers to inform the public about the new law.
