Thieves, who broke into a car repair garage in Germany and sliced open the roof of a convertible, had to abandon their robbery plans when the vehicle would not start, says Reuters.
According to a report in Bild Am Sonntag newspaper, Police said the engine of the vehicle was missing.
The engine was being repaired in a separate part of the garage in the German town of Paderborn.
