Three Cypress-Fairbanks schools locked down on Monday before a man intending to kill himself could visit one of the schools to say goodbye to his daughter.
The Arnold Middle School, where the father's daughter is studying, and nearby Cy-Fair High School and Lamkin Elementary School closed at 10 a.m. to prevent the man from entering.
Harris County police, who have been alerted earlier of the man's suicide intention by his wife, chased and arrested him when he arrived on his car at the Arnold Middle School campus.
One deputy constable was cut on his head while tackling the unarmed man so he was booked for assaulting a police officer.
