A dog is a man's best friend but three women in Britain feel the same for their cats and have spent thousand of dollars to keep their feline friends pampered to their best.

In an attempt to ensure that their cats have the best of everything including cat passports, three women have nearly spent money within the range of nearly $19,000 to more than $31,000.

First in the list is Vanessa Staples of Bishops Stortford, who has paid spent $19,000 for her cat Freddy to date. The luxuries for her perfect companion include Burberry collar and meals containing smoked salmon and tiger prawns.

The Daily Mail said Thursday that a London native Ashly Sloan-Brinkley has reportedly spent $22,000 on pampering her cat, which includes a leather bed equipped with a cashmere blanket and a designer Burberry outfit for special occasions.

However, topping the list is London's Angela Bruce, who has spent more than $31,000 on her two Bengal cats and has gone to the extent of getting special pet passports to allow them to travel.
