A 78-year-old widow won a $10M Connecticut Lottery with the tickets bought by his late husband on the day he died.

Donald Peters bought two Connecticut Lottery tickets which he bought in a 7-Eleven outlet store on November 1, before he suffered from heart attack while in his yard working.

His wife, Charlotte cannot believe that the last tickets his husband bought won the lottery because Peters usually bought tickets for 10 weeks at a stretch.

Charlotte already cashed in one of the tickets amounting to $10M on Friday.

According to the widow, she almost discarded the tickets but when she passed by a grocery store and checked the numbers, she was told that she won the lottery.
