Sales of adult diapers in China are soaring as the lunar New Year holiday approaches. Long trips and traveling aboard trains are so crowded that even the toilets are inaccessible. In Foshan, a southern industrial city with a large migrant population, supermarkets report diaper sales have risen 50 percent since the main travel season began on Jan. 14, local media reports.

The new state slogan chosen by New Jersey residents is "New Jersey: Come See For Yourself. "It beat out choices such as "New Jersey: You Got a Problem With That?" and "Expect the Unexpected. "

Rochester Police will overlook parking tickets issued on Dec. 26, which was a federal holiday, as they issue a public apology. The apology on the department's website says that tickets were issued for expired meters on Monday because of an internal miscommunication in the department.

Though the event goes back to 1812, this year's version brings a big changes - most notably, first-prize winnings are 50 percent higher -- or about $360,000 each.

The students at two Connecticut high schools can zip it, or get a ticket. Both Bulkeley and Hartford High Schools are instituting fines for students who use foul language, reports Reuters
