N.C. Store Clerk Inadvertently Wins $200,000 Powerball Prize

Wayburn Allen, a clerk at a Conover convenience store, got the surprise of her life when an apparently hasty mistake won her $200,000. Allen's luck struck her way Tuesday when she accidentally printed two powerball tickets for a customer. After being unable to sell the extra second through the day, Allen paid for the ticket herself.

Bello Nock, named one of America's most famous clowns by Times magazine and employed by The Ringling Brothers and Barnum and Bailey Traveling Circus, has got his lost bitty bike back. The skilled gymnast had been "very upset" since Friday night when his foot-high, 6-inch-wide contraption was taken from a Manhattan street while Bello and two fellow circus members clowned around. "I can't tell you how happy I am to have it back," the big-haired Bello told the Associated Press. "I wonder how comfortable it would be as a pillow. I may have to sleep on the thing. "

15-Month-Old Toddler Discovers $1300 In A Thrift Book

A 15-month-old child proved lucky for her baby sitter when she discovered $1,300 in cash stuck between a thrift store book bought earlier that day for $0. 25 cents. Rhiannon Barnes' baby sitter Sheila Laughridge says it was the toddler who wanted her to buy the book and was stunned when the kid found a brown paper bag full of $100s, $50s, $20s and $10s.

Mexican wave campaigner Matthew Newton says his $25 ticket to the Australia-New Zealand cricket match was worth the national publicity to bring back the Aussie crowd tradition. Newton was ejected from the MCG after instigating a stadium wide Mexican wave, which has been banned by Cricket Australia.
