Tickets for the world's first tourist space flight planned for 2008 have been snapped up by celebrities and royalty. The commercial spaceline said that tickets were sold to its first 150 passengers at $200,000 per ticket. Some of the takers were former soap star Victoria Principal, designer Philippe Starck, and a unidentified senior member of a royal family have all bought tickets for the world's first tourist space flights planned for 2008. Meanwhile, Bryan Singer, the director of "Superman Returns," has also signed up.

The State Ethics Board of Louisiana has ruled that state lawmakers are not entitled for a lifetime of free movie passes. The decision came after the Robinson Film Center in Shreveport, which was granted $1. 6 million in state aid, sought the opinion of the Ethic Board if they are not violating any law should they push thru with their plan to give state legislators lifetime movie passes.

Nine Indiana auto part workers whose factory will close at the end of the year, rendering them unemployed, won the $9 million Hoosier Lotto jackpot. The nine men, all of them current and former Delphi Corp. employees, contributed weekly to pay for tickets worth $50 in the lottery. All of them remained patient, for more than 15 years and never gave up their dream of winning.

A Malaysian man says his deceased grandmother provided lottery numbers in a dream that won him $11,580. The Star newspaper reports mechanic Tan Tay Seck bought two tickets with the numbers 6-0-6-4 on them. But a thief ran off with his wallet, which contained the second winning lottery ticket.

Three World Cup soccer fans pretended to be disabled in order to buy cheap tickets - but were then thrown out after being caught dancing in excitement during the game. The three fans, all from Argentina, even bought wheelchairs in order to get a better glimpse in a special section of the soccer stadium in order to watch their country play against Holland.
