A "peace protest" in Sri Lanka turns violent when Buddhist monks begin fighting with demonstrators. About 1,000 people were listening to speakers in a park when hardline monks took the stage and put up banners. They believe the government is too easy on the Tamil Tiger rebels. Moderate Buddhist monks were already on stage when fists began flying. Witnesses say no one was seriously injured.

A judge at the U. S. District Court in Manhattan on Thursday overturned an appeal by a man who had sued the city for entering his apartment without a search warrant, after he was mauled by his own pet tiger. The ruling appeared in public records on Monday. Antonie Yates was arrested on Oct. 4, 2003, at a Philadelphia hospital where he had gone for treatment of a deep bite by his pet tiger. Yates, who also possessed an alligator has been charged with reckless endangerment.

Worms have a room of their at one plush hotel in South Africa. The five-star Mount Nelson uses red wrigglers or tiger worms to eat scrap food and in turn, the worms produce rich compost and fertilizer. Their fluid excrement is called "worm tea" and is harvested to be used as a fertilizer in the hotel's gardens. The worm's other by-product is vermicast, a rich compost.

A two faced kitten, with 2 mouths, 2 noses, 4 eyes, that was born with its strange condition disappeared early Friday after it was fed at 1 a. m. Dubbed Tiger, the kitten was only two days old when it was last seen. Columbus based television station WCMH said Tiger's two mouths meowed simultaneously. The kitten's owner said she awoke at about 5 a. m. to check on the cat after its early morning meal. However, the unusual kitten was nowhere to be found.

In a bizarre act of nature, a kitten was born with two faces in Grove City. The kitten, has two mouths that meow in unison, two noses and four eyes that have not yet opened, according to published reports. Charles Roberts, the boy who owns the cats, said he hasn't decided on a name for the kitten yet, but said he wants to name it Tiger.
