Popular cartoon character Tigger is in hot water for allegedly punching a teenager in the face while visiting Disney World in Bay Lake, Florida.

Jerry Monaco told the police that Tigger hit his 14-year-old son, also named Jerry, inside the theme park. He said he caught the incident on his video camera.

Monaco, from New Hampshire has shown a video showing Tigger grabbing and locking the left arm of the teenager and then throws a left job at the boy's face.

The elder Jerry said, "At first, I was upset at my son. I thought he did something to Tigger. But then I reviewed it and it is pretty clear; for no reason he just clocked him in the face."

A spokesman for the sheriff's office, Deputy Carlos Padilla, identified the man in the Tigger costume as Michael Fedelem, 31.

He said, "Of course, we see a little of that tape, and we see what appears to be a battery. We need to talk to all sides to see exactly what happened."

Disney officials said they are conducting an internal inquiry into the matter, but meanwhile, Fedelem had been suspended.

Zoraya Suarez, a Disney spokeswoman, said, "Naturally, a physical altercation between characters and guests is not tolerated."
