Police in Goettingen, Germany were responding to a complaint about a van in the middle of the road when they found a toddler behind the wheel.

The 5-year-old stalled the van several times during morning traffic, and a passer-by called police.

A police spokesman tells Reuters, "He was seemingly intent on experiencing the daily traffic chaos and simply jumped behind the wheel of his dad's Mercedes Vito and went off to explore."

The boy and the car were unharmed in the incident. Police returned both to the boy's father.
