He hopes to make history by breaking the Guinness World record set by Norwegian Paul-Erik Lillholm in August 2000.
On Friday, Kapral tells a news conference, "The current record is three hours and 20 minutes and I'm hoping to smash it. I want to go under three, and I think I might be able to do 2:50 on a good day."
He will use lightweight, shiny red balls custom-made by New York designer Brian Dube. Each balls weighs 150 grams.
Kapral hopes to raise $2,000 for the Run for Liane in support of Toronto's Hospital for Sick Children. The money will go towards building a new childhood cancer research center at the hospital.
