School Reintroduces Etiquette Lessons For Pupils

A public school is bringing back lessons on the long lost value of etiquettes and good manners. Brighton College said beginning next school year, the institution will start educating its pupils on how to waltz at weddings, use cutlery and glasses and tie a bow tie.

Man Driving With GPS Lands In Front Of Train

A computer technician driving on the directions of a rental car's Global Positioning System found himself jumping out of the way as a train came barreling through his vehicle. The driver, Bo Bai, on the orders of the GPS system, turned his vehicle right, crossing train tracks. Upon doing so, the car was caught on the tracks, as the Harlem line train was chugging towards it. Bai attempted to wave to the engineer, but failed to catch his attention.

Japanese Train Commuters Get Free Rides After Ticket Gates Malfunction

Thousands of Japanese commuters got a free train ride to work at 662 railway and subway stations in the Tokyo area on Friday morning, local newspapers reported. Train operators allowed the commuters to pass through 4,400 electronic ticket gates that temporarily failed to operate without using their prepaid access cards. The decision to give the passengers free access was to avoid confusion during rush hour.

Chinese Teen's Stunt To Dodge Rushing Train Fails As Driver Hits Brakes

A Chinese teenager, who said he wanted to test his quickness in dodging a rushing train while sitting on railway tracks, failed in his stunt on Friday. The incident happened at a railway in Fengxian District in Shanghai, China. The alert train driver stepped on the brakes and managed to stop before the locomotive could hit the fearless teen, according to the Shanghai Daily.

Girl Trains To Swim English Channel By Swimming In China River With Hands, Feet Bound

Saying he just wants to help her prepare to achieve her dream of someday swimming across the English Channel, a father tied his daughter's hands and feet and watched her swim in a chilly southern China river for three hours Tuesday. In an interview, Huang Daosheng said her daughter, Huang Li, 10, swam more than a mile in the Xiang River on Tuesday, traveling with the current.
