A Florida city is now considering a ban on Chinese-made products in their jurisdiction in the wake of the wave of recalls of toys and even pet food. The Chinese-made products that the local government is considering banning include: computers, coffee makers, artificial Christmas trees, and toys.

Mysterious chunks of ice fell out of the sky and onto Dubuque, Iowa on Thursday. One 50-pound chunk fell through a woman's roof, others ripped through trees. Authorities say that whether the ice dropped from a passing plane or formed naturally in the atmosphere that either situation was rare. That is good, because the falling ice chunks rattled residents.

The 9-1-1 dispatcher in Canada was surprised to receive a call from a man in north of Toronto informing him about two elephants wandering through his neighbourhood early Thursday morning. It was later found that the massive giants, named Bunny and Suzy, had escaped from a circus at about 3 a. m. in Newmarket, a town of 75,000 people near Toronto. The pachyderms, who perform at the Ray Twinney Complex with the Garden Bros. Circus, were strolling around freely munching on trees, shrubs and flowers.

Money is definitely not grown on trees but in Japan, it is being found flowing freely in municipal toilets. The civil servants in 15 prefectures (states) in Japan are baffled over the discovery of envelopes containing 10,000 yen ($82) bills and well-wishing notes in municipal toilets. State run media reports that a nationwide hunt is on to find the source of nearly two million yen ($16,400) worth of bills that were discovered at many men's rooms in recent weeks.

A ritual performed by a local witch doctor in a northern Malaysian village sparked rumors that space aliens had been buried in the neighborhood cemetery. However, the rumors were quashed Sunday when the witch doctor himself revealed the truth to the authorities. The New Straits Times newspaper reports that a group of four people, comprising a man in his 50s, a woman and two youths, buried six unidentified bodies in a single grave. When the grave digger inquired about the bodies, the old man in the group told him that they were aliens.
