A man who got national attention when he was arrested in a park wearing a woman's wig and a bikini has reportedly pleaded guilty to a charge of operating a vehicle while intoxicated and disorderly conduct. Steven S. Cole's acceptance of this plea deal Thursday dropped a charge of public indecency against him. However, the former volunteer firefighter has now been sentenced to attend a mandatory driver intervention program and been placed on two years' probation.

A 42-year-old woman narrowly escaped her husband's wrath after he shot at her with . 22-calibre rifle when she failed to renew his driver's license. Gary Alan Hemsted, a truck driver, has now been sentenced to 10 years in prison for shooting his wife, Lisa, in 2005. Hemsted pleaded no contest earlier this month to attempted voluntary manslaughter, using a firearm and causing great bodily injury in the wounding of his wife.

A 2-year-old boy miraculously survived a perilous ride in his mother's pick up truck that rolled down through several embankments, trees and structures before coming to a halt against a chain link fence. It wasn't clear why the pickup started rolling. The incident happened Sunday morning when the boy's mom was loading a mattress into the pickup's bed while the toddler sat alone in the cab, Yavapai County Sheriff's spokeswoman Susan Quayle told the Miami Herald.

A Huntsville, Alaska man's trip to the gas station became a long and painful one when one of his fingers got stuck into the gas tank's opening as he tried to clear some gunk from around it. The incident took place on Wednesday afternoon when Dwight Clark was in the parking lot of Medical Arts Pharmacy. There were many helpful people who tried freeing him by spraying WD40 and other tactics, but nothing seemed to work.

A 21-year-old Michigan man was taken on a wild ride after his wheelchair got lodged in the grille of a semi-truck. The man was pushed at 50 mph for at least 4 miles before the motorists deluged the police's emergency service with calls. According to officials, the man was rolling by the front of the truck at a gas station when the handles of his wheelchair got stuck in the grille of the truck.
