A woman is trying to find the person who bought an eagle statuette at her daughter's moving sale. That's because her son-in-law's ashes are in it. The eagle wasn't supposed to be sold, but Sarah Volpe's daughter, Jane Hanlon, had left it on her fireplace mantle with some of the items she was selling. Hanlon says she doesn't blame her mother. She says it was her own fault she left it out.

Sending flowers in time for Valentine's Day may be a little harder this year. The building housing the nation's largest flower shipping business burst into flames in southern Florida -- a week before Valentine's Day. The owner of Armellini Industries in Palm City said that 53 trucks transporting Valentine's Day flowers already were on the road when the building caught fire. The owner says the fire could not have come at a worse time.

Bulgaria has impounded 20-year-old Irish beef that may have entered its processed food industry. Authorities last month blocked three trucks that held 75-tons of discolored meat at the country's border with Greece. They suspected the papers held by the trucks were not in order.

A North Carolina state appeals court ruled on Tuesday that even drivers of some standup electric scooters can be convicted for drunken driving. Kevin Michael Crow challenged the law after being convicted last year of driving while impaired. He was pulled over after an officer saw him run a stop sign, and weave erratically in his lane.
