Firefighters visited the same downtown hotel this past week after two fires broke out in the same block of guestrooms in the same hotel, within one hour of each other.
The first fire was called in at about 1:30 p.m., after lint inside a dryer in the laundry room apparently ignited. Firefighters put out that blaze and went back to the hotel at about 2:30 p.m. when a room caught fire.
Officials say about 75 gallons of water were used to put out the second fire.
Fire Capt. Marcus Banks says the cause of the second fire has yet to be determined. No injuries were reported in either fire.
