This month, the medical humanitarian organization, Medecins du Monde UK, launches Project: London, an initiative to help the city's vulnerable people gain access health care.

The new UK government initiative is providing health care for some of its disadvantaged citizens. Some people in Britain, such as the homeless and female sex workers, find it hard to access health care.

Karen McColl of the group says, "Providing health care to at risk groups is an integral part of Medecins du Monde's work in developed and developing countries."

It is well known that there is a growing health gap between rich and poor within London, leading to reduced quality of life, and early death for many people, particularly those living in the most deprived areas of east London.
