Venida Crabtree, of Cowley, Oxford, who started learning to drive when she was 17, has qualified at the age of 50. She says she lost count of the number of times she has taken her test, but believes it could be more than 40 times. Crabtree blames nerves for her past failures, but says she always learned from her mistakes. Crabtree says, "It was little things we all take for granted - you're signaling, you forget to cancel your signal. It happens to the best drivers, little things that creep up on you." |
