Egyptian authorities are ready to explore what researchers believe is an ancient Roman city, submerged under the Mediterranean. According to Egypt's top archaeologist, Zahi Hawass, a team of archaeologists have found buildings, bathrooms, and a fortress that they believe to be a Roman city, 20 miles east of the Suez Canal.

The aircraft carrier USS Oriskany has been turned into world's largest reef. The famed carrier was rescued by US Navy from the salvage yard after a contract to turn it into scrap metal fell through, reports CNN news.

Magician, David Blaine, has emerged from his life-size liquid bubble sphere in Lincoln Center, in New York, setting the world record for living underwater. Blaine's televised special on ABC, "David Blaine, Drowned Alive," filmed his attempt to also break the world record for holding his breath underwater, yet he failed to surpass 8 minutes, 58 seconds.

Robert Varkonyi, the 2002 World Series of Poker Champion, has more bragging rights today. Over the weekend the Champion Extreme Poker player took home the title of Champion while bluffing in frigid temperatures in the arctic. Varkonyi's win comes just months after Juha Helppi won the first ever Extreme Poker event held 30 feet underwater in the Caribbean Sea.
