A car passenger was apprehended by police officials for pulling out a toy gun and aiming it at the head of the driver friend, causing panic. The incident occurred during the late afternoon on Interstate 70.

The man, identified as 23-year old college student Justin Carman who, while driving back with three other friends from a football game, apparently took out the toy gun from his pocket and upon aiming it at the head of the driver.

The incident was seen by at least one motorist, who immediately contacted 911 and reported what he witnessed, explained Sgt. Jason Greenwood. Carman was reported to have been sitting at the back seat of the car with the gun aimed at the driver's head.

Although the scene was merely for humorous purposes for Carman, it was no joke for others, according to a WTOV9.com news article

According to Sgt. Greenwood the scene seemed incredibly authentic from afar for the motorist.

"At that point, we didn't know what was going on," Sgt. Greenwood said. "If it was a stolen vehicle, a kidnapping with a stolen vehicle, or if the vehicle was going to stop. If a pursuit had ensued, we had officers in place with stop sticks out before it got out hand"

The AP reported that Carman identified himself as a student at the University of Cincinnati. However, no records could be found of the 23-year old on the university website.

Carman was brought to the Belmont County Jail, from where he was then released after posting bond.
