Four years after fleeing his trial, a man charged in a traffic accident that killed three Washington State University students has been captured in Ireland. The Irish National Police arrested 27-year-old Frederick Russell Sunday at a store where he worked in Dublin. He was working under the alias of David Carroll.

A 20-year old University of Minnesota student was killed Saturday in a post-game celebration after the field goal post was torn down and struck the student in the head. Richard Thomas Rose, of Benton City, Wash. , was pronounced dead at a hospital after attempts to revive him on the field failed. No one else was reported hurt in the freak accident.

Hollywood actress and Environmentalist Cameron Diaz has made a surprise visit to a Stanford University classroom to help with a lecture on environmentally friendly designs. The actress, known for her reality-travel show "Trippin" to help promote ecological awareness and who also drives a hybrid car, served as a sidekick for friend and renowned environmental architect William McDonough, a consulting professor at Stanford.

Archaeologist R. Joe Brandon has organized a massive, four-day online campaign in the scientific community in response to the Discovery Institute's ongoing efforts to include Intelligent Design content in public school science classes. The petition was circulated to scientists trained in evolutionary theory and gave them an opportunity to publicly state that Intelligent Design should not be taught in public schools within the science curriculum.
