A survey that appears in the Oct. issue of Men's Fitness Magazine names Southern Illinois University along with the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, the University of New Orleans and Mississippi State University as the fattest colleges in the nation. Brigham Young University tops the list of fittest colleges, and Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois is in the top five.

After receiving a call about a possible shooting, police find a parked car in downtown St. Paul, Minnesota Sunday night with what appeared to be brain matter and blood splattered on the front seat, dashboard and windows. No victim, however, was in sight. They soon began knocking on doors and came upon the car's owner, Lance Hendrickson, who appeared to be unharmed.

New research reveals the ugly side of violence in video games. The study says kids who play video games for hours eventually become aggressive and develop a tendency to clash with their elders. Those kids' performance in school is also adversely affected.
