Thirteen-year-old Katharine Tuck from Utah out-ranked six other children to win $2,500 in the 32nd annual National Odor-Eaters Rotten Sneaker Contest.

The seventh-grader claims to have worn her stinky sneakers to play soccer and basketball, for a hike and even says she waded into the Great Salt Lake wearing them, where the brine shrimp made them even worse.

The contest was founded in 1975 as a sporting goods store promotion, but is now sponsored by the manufacturer of anti-foot odor products.
